Nashville Guitarist: Lance Allen-Fingerstyle Guitarist Extraordinaire

May I present to you a man who can play a mean gee-tar: my husband, my best friend, and a very talented musician, Lance Allen! Lance has an artist deal with Gretsch Guitars and will be featured on their website soon so he needed a photo to submit- thus our excursion around Nashville on Saturday. He proudly plays the G6120 hollow body because Chet Atkins is/was the ultimate when it comes to playing fingerstyle. Lance attributes his love for fingerstyle guitar to Chet and considers him his top guitar hero. But I’d be remiss if I did not mention Merle Travis and Tommy Emmanuel as critical influences as well.

Lance has become such a polished, effortless, and professional player over the years, especially since the time I first met him. He’s always actively trying to better himself as a guitarist. I am so proud of his musicianship and determination to make a living with guitar, have fun with guitar, and continue to grow and develop as a guitarist. He has two cd projects, Sometimes in Life and Naturally. I encourage you to purchase these cds because the music is for everyone and for all occasions. Even if you think instrumental music is just blah, well, this kind of instrumental music is not blah πŸ™‚ its amazing to listen to, comforting, jolly, and generally pleasant to any ear. All the music on his cds are original, carefully thought out, written, and performed by Lance. He teaches guitar full time in Smyrna, TN and I can honestly say he loves it! He absolutely loves teaching guitar to people of all ages and seeing his students grow to love the instrument as much as he does.

Well I could go on and on, but hey, I’m married to this man so I know first hand of his awesomeness! Please check out Lance’s website at www.guitarlancer.com and contact him if you have an itch to pick on a guitar.

Kentucky Wedding Photography: Chris and Jennifer’s Wedding in Corbin, KY

On July 17, 2010 Chris Beard made Jennifer Fowler his wife! This couple has a long history of being together (10 years) and they finally tied the knot and made everyone, including themselves, so very happy! Chris was my husband’s college roommate at MTSU and best bud. I met Jennifer through him and as time went on we kept in touch after college and so on. My husband, Lance Allen, also played beautiful instrumental guitar music throughout the ceremony. We felt very honored to be apart of their special day, a day that meant so much to them and everyone else, too. Chris and Jennifer- many blessings on your long marriage and I can’t wait to hang with you two again very soon!Β  btw, the foot is healing πŸ™‚
