My Wedding Day 8 years ago – October 4, 2003

It is hard to believe that today I am celebrating 8 years of marriage to my wonderful husband, Lance Allen. We were married at 23 shortly after graduating from MTSU and looking back, we were young, but not stupid. The saying goes, “We were young and stupid,” but Lance and I knew exactly what we were doing when we decided to say “I do” and commit our lives to each other forever. It was a beautiful day to get married! We had perfect weather and the day went very smoothly. I remember being waterworks for a lot of it cause I just couldn’t help myself! I was feeling and living in every moment and as a result of that… I cried. You’ll see that in the photos below. I wish I hadn’t cried on my wedding day, but they were all happy tears and tears that represented an emotional day filled with love and happiness. I was brimming with joy that certain family members came and that all my closest girlfriends were there with me as my bridesmaids.

Lance Allen is truly the love of my life and I am thankful everyday I met him when I did, asked him out on the second date to get things moving, and said yes to him on that bench in the ‘boro square. Honey, in these past 8 years you have impressed me and continue to impress me with how incredible of a husband and father you are! Landon loves you so much and I do too.
Thank you to everyone who made our wedding day beautiful, memorable, and fun! These black and white images were shot on black and white film by my ever so talented, ol’ college buddy Claudia Lombardo.
Here’s to more years to come til we’re old and decrepit! Hopefully still pickin’ guitar and shootin’ pictures 🙂

Our venue was the Once Upon a Time Wedding Chapel in Christiania, TN. Unfortunately it burned down several years ago, but it was the perfect place for us! Lisa Pancake was the owner and wedding coordinator and she was beyond awesome!
