I had the honor and privilege to photograph Caitlyn’s senior portraits last month. Miss Caitlyn is kind of special to me, you see. She started off a couple years ago being our babysitter. Then I noticed she had an interest in photography and I thought I’d bring her along to some of my shoots and see how she liked it. Well, it turns out she’s a great assistant, too! She is a creative, sweet, talented, and godly young woman and I am so blessed to know her. For now, her passion is photographing babies, children, and families and she’s incredible at it. Especially since she is young with no formal training and is taking the initiative to educate herself on photography on her own time. She will be helping me out this summer as my first ever intern! So we’re both excited about that adventure :)

Caitlyn, you are beautiful inside and out and I can’t wait to see the many adventures and special moments that God has in store for you as you embark on this exciting portion of your young adulthood!

Thank you to Riverwood Mansion for being the perfect location for Caitlyn’s style and look! We had a wonderful time shooting there!

Kristin and Bryn are one of those couples that are just plain fun to be around and you walk away from your time with them having experienced great laughs and awesome memories. This was how the engagement session went as we walked from their cool Germantown neighborhood to Bicentennial Mall park. We found gorgeous light and made the most of a beautiful afternoon in Nashville. I am excited to photograph their May 5th wedding at Rock Castle!

When Michelle said she wanted to shoot her bridal portraits at the TN capital building I was intrigued and very excited to have the opportunity to see our state’s capital in a whole new light! I had not been inside the capital building in over 20 years. Michelle had worked at the capital building prior to becoming a lawyer so she knew her way around and had the ability to get us permission to shoot just about anywhere. She also wanted downtown Nashville represented in her photos because the city itself has become important to her through her journey into law. What a great time we had finding unique spots to photograph in a beautiful, historic building like the TN State Capitol!

My favorite was the black and white 3rd from the top too. Really great session though. Good work Twila!
